In this film, our employees share in their own words what diversity at Schüco means to them — authentic voices, real perspectives, true diversity.

Our Mission Statement
We create a work environment where everyone feels respected and valued. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination. By continuously reviewing our measures for equal opportunities, we ensure that everyone has the same opportunities for development. We see diversity as a strength that makes us, as One Schüco, more successful and future-proof.

Diversity as a Strength
I want us to be open to engaging with people from different backgrounds and cultures, showing them our genuine interest and appreciation. Only then can the true potential of our interculturality unfold and contribute to the success of the entire company.
Andreas Engelhardt - Managing Partner and CEO of Schüco International KG
Diversity Dimensions at Schüco
Schüco has signed the Charta der Vielfalt, making a clear commitment to a respectful and appreciative working environment. As a first step, we have defined three dimensions of diversity that we want to focus on: generations, gender, and people with disabilities. These areas highlight where the greatest need for action exists today to ensure Schüco remains sustainable and future-ready. Based on these dimensions, we develop targeted initiatives, remove barriers, and create an environment where everyone can contribute their strengths and realize their potential. By signing the charter, we are sending a strong message: diversity makes Schüco more innovative, open, and ready for the future.
Generation, inclusion and gender

Generation

Inclusion
Inclusion creates diversity: The Representative Body for Severely Disabled Employees at Schüco breaks down barriers and supports colleagues with disabilities through advice and practical measures. As part of our diversity strategy, it promotes equal opportunities and participation, helping to create an inclusive work environment where everyone can contribute their strengths.

Gender
Diversity of genders as a key to success: At Schüco, diverse teams drive innovation by bringing together different perspectives and finding better solutions. A particular focus is on female empowerment – for example, through a strong women’s network and dedicated support for women in leadership roles via the ANNA + Cie program.

What do our employees say about Diversity & Inclusion?
Real voices from our teams share what diversity means to them – personal, authentic, and drawn from everyday life at Schüco.

Mental health matters.
For me, mental health is inseparable from diversity: each of us experiences challenges differently—and that’s exactly why we need an environment where we can speak openly about them. As a Mental Health First Aid contact, I want to help ensure that no one feels alone with their concerns. To me, a safe space and someone who listens are true expressions of lived diversity.
Isabell Hochwald – Mental Health First Aid Contact and HR Team Member
Courage begins with us.
It’s important to us that everyone can be themselves at work without fear of exclusion or discrimination. With our “Developing Attitude” seminar, we’re especially committed to supporting our apprentices and encouraging them to stand up for themselves and others. We believe that a respectful work environment always starts with each and every one of us.

How do we raise awareness for diversity in the company?
Schüco raises awareness of diversity among employees through a structured training program that includes intercultural training during the "Onboarding Days", supporting e-learnings, and "Unconscious Bias" training designed to make employees more aware of unconscious biases in their daily work.
